Highly Collectible Antique English Pewter Bar Measures
These 2 measuring vessels are the style of a baluster tankard (although one has a jug-type spout). Both are stamped as “Gill” this is a unit of measurement for volume equal to a quarter of a pint. It is no-longer in common use. They both have pear shaped bodies on flared skirt bases. Due to their age and being manufactured from pewter they have dents and the one the one has 3 small holes.
