Two Untitled Works by S. Monaheng
Description
The two untitled works by S. Monaheng feature scenes of interaction between human figures in everyday tasks, rendered with a focus on traditional and domestic activities.
First Work (71cm height, 58cm length): This piece depicts two figures kneeling on the floor, engaged in a shared activity. They are busy using a mortar and pestle, which suggests a task related to food preparation. The figures are placed in close proximity, indicating cooperation or communal labor.
Second Work (67cm height, 58cm length): In this artwork, one figure appears to be interacting with the back of another, using what seems to be large needles. This suggests a form of medical or healing practice, perhaps acupuncture or traditional bodywork. The setting conveys a sense of care or ritual, where one figure tends to the other.
In good condition. Please see images as they form part of the description.
