Don Madge - Investment Oil Painting By Recognised Artist on Canvas Mounted on Board Depicting a Hawkers Cart on a Bustling Street (81cm X65cm in Frame)

Don (Donald James) Madge (SA 1920 - 1997)

Don Madge’s oil painting, created with a palette knife, captures the vibrant energy of a bustling street scene. The focal point of the composition is a hawker’s cart, skillfully rendered with bold, textured strokes that evoke a sense of movement and life. The artist’s use of the palette knife adds a rich and dynamic texture to the surface, creating a tactile and expressive quality.

The scene is alive with the colors of the street, from the warm tones of sunlight bouncing off the buildings to the diverse array garments worn. The play of light and shadow enhances the realism and depth of the painting, contributing to the overall immersive experience.

The original frame complements the artwork, providing a finishing touch that enhances the presentation of the street scene. Don Madge’s technique and keen attention to detail in capturing the essence of urban life make this painting a captivating and evocative piece of art.
