Lot 86:
Set of 6 Vintage Japanese Armbee Teacups
Description
This charming set of six vintage Japanese Armbee teacups showcases a striking blue and orange floral motif, likely inspired by traditional cherry blossom designs. The hand-applied decoration sits beautifully against a speckled, natural ceramic glaze, giving each cup an organic and authentic feel typical of mid-century Japanese studio and export pottery.
The cups have a pleasing balance in the hand, with subtle variations in the glaze and speckling that highlight their handcrafted character. Armbee pieces are increasingly sought after by collectors of vintage Japanese ceramics, particularly complete matching sets, which are becoming harder to source.
Ideal for collectors, tea enthusiasts, or those looking to add a distinctive vintage accent to their tableware or display cabinet.
Condition is good, with no obvious modern reproductions characteristics, making this a genuine collectible set.
