Description
This graphic from an engraving featuring Mercury from the Galleria of Vincenzo Giustiani is a captivating piece, especially when presented in this beautiful gilt frame behind glass. The frame’s dimensions of 83cm x 91cm suggest it’s sizable enough to command attention on a wall.
The statue from the Galleria of Vincenzo Giustiani will evoke a sense of classical elegance and timeless beauty.
The gilt frame adds an extra layer of sophistication, complementing the artwork and providing a sense of luxury. Placed in the right setting, such as a living room, study, or even a grand foyer, this piece could serve as a focal point, inviting viewers to appreciate both the artistry of the engraving and the grace of the statue it depicts.
There are signs of foxing but these do not detract as they add to the charm and history of the piece.
