Lot 38:
Collector's Set of Rhodesian Security Forces Regimental & Corps Cap Badges | Numbered Set | Green Felt Map-Shaped Display Case | Rare Military Memorabilia Collection
Description
A truly exceptional and museum-worthy collector’s set of numbered regimental and corps cap badges from the former Rhodesian Security Forces, beautifully presented on a green felt background shaped in the form of the country’s map, housed in a display case. Military cap badge collections of this specificity and presentation are among the most passionately pursued and competitively bid on militaria lots in the collector market, and a numbered set from the Rhodesian Security Forces carries particular historical significance and rarity value given the historical period it represents and the finite number of original artefacts that exist. Rhodesian militaria is actively and internationally collected, with strong demand from military historians, heritage collectors and those with personal connections to the Rhodesian era. A display case presentation of this quality and care speaks to a serious and knowledgeable collector’s approach to this set. An outstanding and genuinely rare militaria collector’s lot. Sold as-is.
