Lot 44:
A Large Collection of Cut Glass and Pressed Glass Stemware and Tumblers
Description
A comprehensive assortment of clear glass drinking vessels arranged across two shelves. The collection includes a group of small straight-sided tumblers and two distinct sets of whiskey tumblers featuring diamond-cut and vertical fluted patterns to the lower bodies. The middle shelf contains several large balloon-style wine or gin glasses with rounded bowls and thick stems. Also present is a set of white wine or water goblets featuring flared bowls and tiered baluster stems with central knops. A further set of liqueur or sherry glasses is included, designed with U-shaped bowls and baluster stems featuring a prominent round knop. Close-up inspection of these smaller glasses reveals vertical seam lines running through the stems and bowls, identifying them as mold-pressed glass. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on any of the pieces. The collection is accompanied by a group of yellow plastic cocktail stirrers and a small decorative tray featuring a graphic of wine bottles and fruit.
